Volunteers

The Vision and Mission of VSHC is to serve all equally without making any distinction based on race, religion, education or economic means. Everyone is treated as equal with compassion, love and kindness.
VSHC is a charitable organisation, which highly values the contribution of volunteers, both short and long term, in achieving the mission and vision. VSHC provides experience for volunteers mainly in the areas of Primary Health Care, Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Sexual Reproductive Health, Mental Health and Social Issues, and Child and Maternal Health.  VSHC provides general outpatient care in a rural setting which enables volunteers to gain experience in a variety of clinics including NCD, Gynaecology and Diabetes clinics. VSHC also conducts outreach clinics throughout the Ba Province of Fiji, which focus on primary care and education on NCDs, Health Promotion and Sexual Reproductive Health.
VSHC volunteers come to Fiji from all over the world to contribute their time as well as gain vital career experience. VSHC is suitable to host volunteers from nursing, medical and allied health backgrounds.

You can read about the experiences and reflections of some of the volunteers who have spent time at the Health Centre over the last few years in the News box on this page. If you are interested in volunteering your services please contact the staff at VSHC and send them your details and an outline of your experience,
