Founders of the Medical Centre

The founders of the Health Centre are Professor Gyaneshwar and his wife Adjunct Associate Professor Swarna Naidu. Both have had a long time involvement with health care in Fiji, Australia and New Zealand and they have built the health centre because of their commitment to improving the health of poor people who otherwise do not have easy access to good care.

They are both experienced senior clinicians who have had leading roles in both management and provision of clinical services in major health/teaching institutions in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. They enjoy high credibility in Fiji especially within the Health Service but also the community in general. They have a network of skilled colleagues abroad, many of whom are former Fiji citizens who are keen to help.
