Fiji Interior Overnight CCOHSI Team Trip

The CCOHSI team undertook a trip into the interior of Viti Levu on Monday 20th to Tuesday 21st March 2017. The purpose of the overnight trip was to conduct health promotion activities on wellness, and conduct Reproductive Health clinics, as well as to sign off on and commence Community Development Projects (CDPs).   Collective Community Ownership of Health and Social Issues (CCOHSI) Project Update. This workshop was organised by Viseisei Sai Health Centre (VSHC) staff in partnership with Empower Pacific. The World Cancer Day workshop was held on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at Western Health Centre, Lautoka, in collaboration with Fiji Ministry of Health.  Nurses of varying disciplines, zone, family planning, oncology and paediatric oncology, from Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Tavua districts attended.   Collective Community Ownership of Health and Social Issues (CCOHSI) Project Update. This workshop was organised by Viseisei Sai Health Centre (VSHC) staff in partnership with Empower Pacific. A Community Health Worker and Stakeholder Workshop was held on Tuesday 31/01/2017 at Viseisei Sai Health Centre. Workshops and Outreach

The CCOHSI team has 11 members consisting of a Project Manager, Health Promotion Officer, Health Educator, Research Officer, two Social Workers/Counsellors, one Community Nurse and one Clinical Nurse, a Research Assistant, a Data Entry Person and a Driver. A Medical Specialist is also on the team part-time. The project has randomly selected 30 communities. These 30 communities are located in the 4 different districts of Lautoka, Ba, Nadi and Tavua.
