VSHC goes solar
VSHC was donated a Grid Connect Solar System by the Rotary Club of Kerikeri Inc, New Zealand through Mr Mahmood Khan. Through its work, the health centre managed to attract the attention of the Kerikeri Rotarians, who helped the centre install a $38,000 solar panel system that will reduce its use of electricity from fuel-powered generators. The installation of the Solar System was provided free of charge by the Managing Director, Mr Bruce Clay of Clay Engineering Limited, Suva, Fiji. Flood Relief
The Western Division of Fiji suffered severe flooding in December 2012. One of the zone areas of VSHC, the Lomolomo village was badly affected by the flood and almost all houses in that village were underwater. VSHC trustees and staff made donations of food packs and stationery to the 51 families in the Lomolomo village. The items were personally handed over by the staff of VSHC.
Visit from VC of FNU
On 23rd of August, 2012 the Vice Chancellor of Fiji National University, Dr Ganesh Chand and Ian Rouse the Dean of the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at FNU visited VSHC. Read more >>
New Zealand Sai Medical Camp
A free medical camp was held at VSHC on Friday, May 4, 2012. Over 680 patients were seen.
The Fundraising Gazal Night
A Charity show called "Sangeeta Ka Mausam" was held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at The Mounties Club Function Centre, Mt Pritchard in Sydney to help raise funds for the Health Centre. "Sangeeta Ka Mausam" was a Hindi Gazal programme which included gazals, light songs and dance performances by Sydney’s renowned and seasoned artists Mr Guru Dev Charan and Ms Supreena Prasad plus many other talented performers. Book Launch
On the 26th of August 2011, after a free medical camp run by the Australian Sai Group at VSHC, a book launching ceremony was held in the evening. The book, titled "A Play of Many Parts" was written by Professor Subramani. The play follows the events of the life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Read more >>
Australian Sai Medical Camp
A free medical camp was held at VSHC on 26th August, 2011 by the 31 member strong Australian Sai Medical Team. Over 600 patients were seen by the Australian Sai Group.
New Zealand Sai Medical Camp
A free medical camp was held at VSHC on May 29th, 2011 by the 36 member strong New Zealand Sai Medical Team. Over 500 patients were seen by the NZ Sai Group.
